38th Annual Boise Roadster Show 2010

One of the premiere automotive shows in the western United States.  The 38th Annual Boise Roadster Show presented by Les Schwab Tires returns to Expo Idaho on Thursday thru Sunday, March 11th-14th, 2010.
 

Show hours are:

Thu - March 11th:    4 pm - 10 pm
 Fri -  March 12th:    3 pm - 10 pm
 Sat  - March 13th:   10 am - 10 pm
 Sun - March 14th:   10 am - 7 pm

  Advance discount tickets are on sale for at all Les Schwab Tires stores.  

Tickets can be purchased (at a one dollar savings) at any Les Schwab Tires store in the region—$8 for adults, $2 for kids 6-12, and under free.  *Adult admission at the show is $9, while kids will be admitted for $3.

1964 Shelby Cobra CSX2557Last month RM Auctions offered up the 427 Cobra prototype at its annual auction in Phoenix, and although it failed to meet reserve price, the final bid of nearly $1.5 million signified the importance of the car. Fortunately for car collectors who still want to add a notable Shelby to their garage will have the chance at RM's auction next month.

A 1964 Shelby Cobra, chassis CSX2557, will be crossing the block during the sale coinciding with the Amelia Island Concours on March 13.  You can read more about the history of CSX2557 and the other Cobra racecars after the jump..

Idaho Statesman: Ada County drivers get a break: fewer emissions tests
While the state prepares to force testing on Canyon motorists, Ada adopts a new policy.

The Ada County Air Quality Board's new rules start Jan. 1, 2010:

• Tests will be required every other year - even-model-year vehicles in even years, odd-model-year cars in odd years.

• New vehicles will be exempted for their first four years.

• Vehicles built before 1981 and hybrids will be exempted.

• The maximum test fee will be $20.

But if you just got your postcard or have been putting off a test already due, you'll still be expected to comply with the old rules.

The changes are based on those proposed by the Treasure Valley Air Quality Council and approved by the Idaho Legislature.

Yes, it may have been cold.. but those who braved it out for the Club's last long-distance event of the season were greeted with beautiful sunny Idaho city weather (with snow in those mountains), including a visit with Trudy herself.

Our Camaro member (Bob) also treated Ms. Trudy to a spin in his '67 Camaro.. we understand they only did the speed limit (uh huh) but we'll never tell.  LOL!
